The all-new 2019 Altima is more than just a mid-size sedan; it's a preview of the future. Innovative features - such as ProPilot Assist, Safety Shield 360 and a variable compression engine - make the four-door one of the most advanced vehicles in its class.

2019 Nissan Altima sedan models
Completely redesigned from the ground up, the 2019 Nissan Altima sports a modern look, with low ride height and athletic proportions. Up to five passengers can enjoy the premium grade interior with its lengthy list of available amenities.
For 2019, the Altima is offered in five main trim levels, including S, SR, SV, SL and Platinum. There's also a limited quantity launch edition, called the Edition One. Two engine options are available: a 2.5L four-cylinder (188 hp, 180 lb.-ft.) and the all-new variable compression turbo (VC-T) 2.0L four-cylinder (248 hp, 280 lb.-ft.).
The VC-T comes on SR and Platinum models; all others get the traditional four-cylinder. Both engine options route power through a continuously variable transmission (CVT). Front-wheel drive comes standard and - for the first time ever - all-wheel drive is available (with the base engine only).

S
The 2019 Nissan Altima lineup starts with the S model. Although it's the base trim level, all the essentials are included such as automatic headlights, keyless entry with remote start, a push-button ignition, a rearview camera and Forward Collision Warning.
SR
Next, there's the sporty SR model. All equipment found on the S comes standard, along with several performance-inspired upgrades. Highlights include a sport-tuned suspension, steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters, unique exterior styling and carbon-fiber interior trim. Additional conveniences, such as LED headlights, Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, are onboard as well.Â
For those looking for a few extra amenities, the SR can also be ordered with a Premium package. The bundle adds a sunroof, heated exterior mirrors and heated front seats.
SV
The SV acquires equipment from both the S and SR models, while also receiving several enhancements. Standard equipment includes amenities like a sunroof, automatic high beams, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, heated exterior side mirrors and remote start with integrated climate control. Additional driver assistance functions include Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist and Rear Automatic Braking. ProPilot Assist - a type of advanced adaptive cruise control with self-steering - is standard as well.
SL
Near the top of the list, there's the SL that comes with leather upholstery, a navigation system and a Bose premium stereo.
Platinum
The top-tier Platinum comes with all the niceties found on the SL, plus a 360-degree camera and ambient lighting.
Edition One
Early adopters can also select the limited production Edition One model. The sedan car, which is based on the Platinum trim, comes with unique features like illuminated kick plates and Edition One Nissan Concierge service.
